The Nikkor Z 180-600mm F5.6-6.3 VR is the spiritual successor to Nikon's F-mount 200-500mm F5.6 lens. From your write-up I can see that you are very happy with the Nikkor 80-200 f2.8. I myself is just a hobbyist and cannot justify getting the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8.
