First off - my car is a 2009 A6 C6 with MMI 3G ( 2 x SD, internal HDD, DVD and CD Changer ) + Bose. It didn't came with AMI interface fitted so I figured I could purchase one and fit it myself. I purchased an AMI harness and fitted it in the glovebox.
Since it has not reoccurred and there were no MMI messages or fault codes present, I shrugged it off to one of those software glitches that happen from time to time. Thread: Audi A6 C6 avant MMI not working. I had a big leak due to the dreaded washer pipes broken, and the left side was flooded withe a few cm of washer fluid. Washer pipes have been replaced, and will take weeks to all dry out completely. Problem I still have is that the MMI 2 G is still not working.

Wife just bought a 2006 A6 C6 (V6 car) with 85,000 miles on it. We are discovering the in's and If you have a 2005-2006 A6 Avant, there is TSB #2013209/1 that fixes the problem with the rear washer flooding the electronics. I had this TSB fix on my '06 A6 Avant in 2012 for ~$240 (including a $100 coupon discount). So, if your Avant hasn't had this TSB fix, I strongly suggest you have it done to prevent more costly electronic repairs.
MMI Basic C6std_0120 upgrade Hi, Thanks for getting back so quickly. I have just got an audi 3.2 2005 quattro. The system is not even basic+ it looks like MMI basic only (I am assuming this from the interface ( C6std_0120 ). Here are the details after going into diagnostic menu after holding down setup and return : Dev Name : Gateway SW Rel : 0030
Re: Sat Nav MMI not working – 13-07-2018, 09:22 AM. I had that problem yesterday. I had fixed a fault with my mmi system but satnav showed me as 30 miles away. You can either have a look and see in the settings if you are in demo mode or like my problem have a look at the back of the dvd drive in the boot.

MMI buttons are not lighting. I checked fuses in dashboard (drivers side) and in trunk multiple times and they are fine.. Car is a sedan. VCDS Auto Scan: 00-Steering Angle Sensor -- Status: OK 0000. 01-Engine -- Status: Malfunction 0010. 02-Auto Trans -- Status: OK 0000. 03-ABS Brakes -- Status: OK 0000.
